Q1. Who is eligible to join Ryteway’s medical coding program?
Ryteway’s programs are designed for graduates from Life Science and Allied Health Science backgrounds. Eligible qualifications include B.Sc, M.Sc (any life science stream), BPT, BMLT, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, DMLT, Nursing (B.Sc or GNM), Radiography, and other allied health disciplines.
If you have studied subjects like Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, or Microbiology as part of your degree, you already have the foundational knowledge that makes medical coding a natural career progression.
Q2. Do I need prior medical coding experience to enrol?
No prior experience in medical coding or billing is required to join our Basic Medical Billing & Coding course. We have designed the curriculum to start from the very beginning — introducing you to medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, and the structure of the U.S. healthcare system.
